Have you ever heard about how the universe often sends us signs, guiding us on our journey? Yet, in the midst of life's busyness, it can feel like you're missing them or unsure how to even access and interpret them.

Sometimes subtle or unexpected, these signs carry profound meanings and guide our journeys. It's crucial for us to tune in and open ourselves to these insights.

Dreams, too, serve as a significant conduit for the universe's language, offering insights from our subconscious realms.

If you're finding it hard to feel them or connect with the energy of the universe, practices like stillness, meditation, and self-reflection can create space for these signs to resonate deeply within us.

Below, we've listed five grounding techniques to help quiet the mind:

  1. Practice Mindful Breathing: You don't need to join a breathwork class for this; simply find a quiet place, close your eyes, and focus on your breath to anchor yourself in the present moment and calm your mind. Stay in this space for at least 10 minutes; if your mind starts wandering and overthinking, gently come back to your breath—count with it, feel it.

  2. Connect with Nature: Nature often serves as a channel for divine messages. Whether it's a gentle breeze, a floating butterfly, or a shooting star, these moments remind us of our interconnectedness with the universe and often act as the signals we're seeking. Take a moment to step outside, free from technology and distractions. Walk barefoot, sit under a tree, or immerse yourself in moonlight.

  3. Create a Quiet Corner: Establish a peaceful space at home where you can retreat for moments of reflection and stillness. Use this as your quiet sanctuary, a place where you can engage in any mindful activity you desire—a space that signals to your mind it's time to pause.

  4. Journaling for Clarity: Sometimes, getting your thoughts out of your mind and onto paper can be a liberating external release. It helps empty your mind and provides clarity and room for messages.

  5. Cultivate a Bedtime Ritual: End your day with a mindful moment to calm your mind before sleep. Remember, dreams offer a gateway to our subconscious, but an overstimulated mind before bed can lead to restless sleep or dreams devoid of meaning. Creating a calming elixir with Blue Lotus and Cacao can help soothe your mind and prepare you for a restful night's sleep.

How to prepare a Ceremonial Cacao and Blue Lotus Exlixir:

Ceremonial Cacao and Blue Lotus are revered for their profound calming effects rooted in ancient healing traditions. Blue Lotus, enriched with compounds like aporphine and nuciferine, is renowned for promoting relaxation, alleviating stress, and uplifting mood. It has also been traditionally associated with enhancing dream clarity and promoting restful sleep. Meanwhile, Ceremonial Cacao is a source of theobromine, which supports a relaxed state without the stimulating effects of caffeine.

Recipe: Ceremonial Cacao with Blue Lotus Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 20g of Ceremonial Cacao
  • 2-3 dried blue lotus flowers

Instructions:

  1. Heat 1/2 cup of water on the stove until hot but not boiling.
  2. Mix Ceremonial Cacao into the water until dissolved.
  3. In a separate cup or jug, steep 2-3 blue lotus flowers in 1/2 cup of water for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour the blue lotus tea into the Ceremonial Cacao mixture.
  5. Optionally, add plant milk to temper the bitterness.
*If you are sensitive to cacao you could try having 15 grams and 4 blue lotus flowers, alter as needed.

I recommend having this drink about an hour before bed time, following it with a gentle meditation and journaling session. Take time to heed the whispers of the universe, listen to your soul, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and tranquility.

For us to effectively see and interpret the signs, it is essential to develop mindfulness and be present instead of rushing through the journey.
