What Makes Our Pink Clay Different
When we set out to create a truly natural clay mask, we tested dozens of options labelled “pink clay”. But we quickly realised many weren’t what they claimed to be - instead, they were white kaolin clay mixed with red iron oxide to achieve a pink colour. Some were also blended with preservatives and fillers to extend shelf life or create a creamy texture. What we discovered is that there’s no such thing as Australian Pink Clay as a single, naturally occurring mineral. It's usually a man-made blend created for visual appeal.
That’s why we chose French Pink Clay, a naturally pink clay made from two mineral-rich clays, Montmorillonite and Illite, found in the same regions of France. Nothing is added, nothing is taken away. It’s finely milled into a soft powder that blends beautifully with water or oil to form a gentle, skin-loving mask.
For us, this felt like the most honest and natural way to honour the clay mask ritual - with just one ingredient, straight from the earth.
